Meet Dr. Simjee

Rasheed Simjee, DMD

Dr. Simjee has been providing treatments in the fields of periodontics and dental implants since 2001.  After receiving his bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine, he attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine for his dental degree.  He then completed his residency at the USC School of Dentistry where he received specialty training in periodontics and dental implants.

As part of his strong commitment to quality treatment, Dr. Simjee stays on top of the latest advances in implant dentistry and periodontology by regularly attending national and international dental conferences.   He shares his expertise with students and peers alike.   Dr. Simjee has served as Clinical Assistant Professor at both the USC and Loma Linda Schools of Dentistry, and currently serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Western University College of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Simjee has presented on dental topics at local and international dental meetings, and also conducts regular continuing education seminars for dentists in Orange County and the Inland Empire.

Similarly, Dr. Simjee places a high importance on patient education.  He makes sure the patient understands the diagnosis and any procedure(s) he recommends before proceeding with treatment.  He encourages questions and takes the time to thoroughly explain the patient’s condition to him/her.

Dr. Simjee’s dedication extends to the community at large.  He has served on medical mission trips, and currently mentors high school students interested in medical/dental career paths.

Outside of the office, Dr. Simjee likes learning about other cultures through reading and traveling.  Most of all, Dr. Simjee enjoys rediscovering the world through his children’s eyes.
